As
you walk on, Kaytara speaks,
"This
forest is full of animals, and because they are
so friendly, some can be adopted."
You
feel hope.
"Does
it mean I can adopt someone?"
Kaytara
looks at you and says,
"Yes.
But only if the animal wishes it. You cannot take
away an animal that doesn't like you."
"What
creatures are for adoption here?" you say.
"There are some rodents, horses,
pegasi, nightmares, Lizzementals..."
"What?"
you exclaim.
"Lizzementals.
They're flying elemental lizards. You must
know the rules though:
1.
You must have a kid-safe, nice, quiet site, not a list
of how to murder your parents, and not the naughty
boys rock either.
2.
You must read the info on the adoption
pages, it says a lot about how to maintain your
animals.
3.
You must take care of the creatures you adopt.
4.
You cannot say you've made the graphics, that
would be stealing, and Kat will ban you off your
pets and put you onto the shamed ones' list.
5.
You must upload the images onto your own server.
No bandwidth stealing!
6. To get off this page, click here
after reading this
page to the end.
7.
Do not alter the graphics' appearances. As for
resizing, rotating, and others similar effects, you
have the permission.
8.
Give credit to Kat, who made the graphics, and provide
a visible, working link to this site.
9.
If you adopt one of the animals, you must put them
up on a site. Kat wants them a better fate than
to wither away on some dusty old hard drive.
Tip:
In order to make you animals' pages nicer for the
pets, you can also take some Accessories.
Note:
You can breed any type of creature you adopt here,
and with every one you have to remove the babies
from your page a month after they are born, and also delete
the file itself. But note that when the baby is
born you will receive a 'photo' of it, one that
you don't have to delete.
You
walk on and on. Suddenly you feel an urge to ask,
"Do
animals also do magic here?"
Kaytara
looks at you and says,
"What?
No. Why are you asking?"
"I
saw a baby bird and tried to put it in its nest,
but it just disappeared."
Kaytara
says,
"There
was no bird. I was just testing you."
"Testing?!"
you exclaim. Kaytara remains cool.
"Yes.
The Black Stripe Forest, the thicket you went through,
is meant to keep the wrong people out of here, but
some still get through. I usually test them to see
if the land can trust them.
Kaytara
says,
"There
are also secrets here. For example, if you're lucky
and careful you might find the Secret Garden. You
can get a rare creature and an award if you find
it and e-mail
Kat how to get there, to prove that you know."
"Do
you know where it is?" you ask. Kaytara chuckles.
"I
know where everything in the land is. Of course,
I don't have the right to tell you."
You
walk in silence for a little while. Meanwhile you
try to remember some landmarks in case you get lost,
but you can't. The whole forest seems exactly the
same. You ask Kaytara,
"How
do you navigate here?"
"I
have lived here for long. I know this forest by
heart, as do all its inhibitors. But there is landmark
not far from here - a stone with the map engraved
into it. If you're lost, just follow some colourful flowers
like this one, they'll lead you to the map. You
look down and see what appears to be a shining diamond
on a stem.
